Welcome to the Amelia Island Quilt Guild.

This Guild was established in November, 1989, with thirty members. Our current membership consists of 70+ members. The goal of the Guild is to promote quilting and educate the public about the craft of quilting.

Membership is open to the public and available upon receipt of annual membership dues of thirty dollars. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise announced. Meetings consist of a program, business meeting and Show and Tell.

Officers are elected by the membership to serve one- year terms. See the list of our current board for contact information.

Members are asked to make and wear name tags to facilitate getting to know other members.

Members can earn pins to wear on their name badges by bringing finished quilts to show and tell. See the link below to learn how to earn a pin. AIQ Guild pins are also on sale for $5 each.

The Guild supports the following charities with the gift of a quilt made by guild members:

Quilts of Valor

Habitat for Humanity

Micah's House

Shands Neo-natal Unit

Joy to the Children

Aslan House

The Guild presents a quilt show every three years as a major fundraiser where money is raised by selling chances on a raffle quilt. The show is open to the public for an admission fee. Quilts made by the members are publicly displayed and judged. As a member, you are required to sell or purchase a certain number of raffle tickets.

An annual retreat is held at Epworth-by-the Sea on St. Simons Island. Members pay a fee, which includes meals and a semi-private or private room for three days. The format for the weekend usually includes a project taught by knowledgeable quilters or the opportunity to work on your own projects without having to cook meals or make up your bed.
