Darling Pincushions created from old sweaters! Use your imagination and the photo for container ideas!

 Supplies:

An old wool sweater washed in hot water and dried on high heat to be felted. No need to deconstruct before washing. (One sweater can make many pincushions so one sweater can be shared among several in the group.)

One small container for each pin cushion. See picture for ideas.

Large needle and Perle cotton thread to cinch the rolled wool.

Many choices of wool colors for petals will be available.

These are the cutest little pouches and so easy to make!!

Created from a pattern by Lazy Girl Designs®

Supplies:

Makes 2 -  Finished size 3" x 6"

Two coordinating 10" squares of fabric - one for outside and one for lining (I used batiks)

One 10" square fusible fleece

One or Two - polyester all-purpose 16" or longer zippers See Notes

Notes:

From the Lazy Girl Pattern - this project works best with size #3 or #4.5 basic apparel zippers from YKK, Coats and Clark or Talon

One zipper will make both pods, but it will only have one pull.  I have YKK pulls that I will bring, but they may not work with other brand zippers. If you purchase another brand purchase 2 zippers.
